October flash sheet is finally here 😭🫶
I have 13 (hehe) more slots left for y’all! As I said in my last newsletter, Saturday slots go fast cause I only have 1 more left.
I present to you ⬇️
Circus rat (reminds me of Coraline!). Some witch kitties. Fairy frog. A floral moon (y’all be lovin’ the moons). A medieval princess dove. Snail neighbors (I wish I was their neighbor). Angel trumpet flowers. A halloween color scheme landscape. A color packed moth. And last but not least, a pansy 🧡
I can’t decide my fave, but it’s between rat boy, witch kitty, or angel trumpets. I hope I get to tattoo all of these at least once!
Quick side note–
all artists go through creative blocks and moments of self doubt, and oh man did this flash sheet make me question my whole life as an artist. For some reason creativity was not flowing and everything I drew I absolutely hated. It was a hard few days, but I know I just need to take a step back and cut myself some slack cause damn girl chill out! And then I went to Lost Lands and everything was right with the world again (except the amount of dust I inhaled) and BAM! Flash sheet was done and I love it.
All this to say that if you’re an artist and go through a phase like this just know you’re not alone! It happens to me and my friends and we just gotta support each other until we get to the other side 😤
As mentioned previously, Obsessed is having a flash day October 17! This flash sheet will also be made up of spooky things so don’t you worry. Can’t wait to see what me and my other stu mates come up with. Maybe I’ll make some brownies or a baked good? We’ll see if I actually have time or if it’ll sneak up on me as usual.
Some fun non-tattoo related things
Lost Lands was cool af. I drove 10 hours to head bang to heavy dubstep alongside some dinosaurs and walked an average of 22,000 steps a day for 4 days straight. Why wouldn’t you love a festival?? I got to see my fave Wooli, hottie Crankdat, Subtronics 🫶, and OG Excision. It’s all I want in life.
My neighbor (who works for Counter Culture Coffee) asked me to be a judge in a latte art competition??! It was head-to-head elimination style rounds and me and the two other judges had to point to whichever latte art was the best. The coffee community is intense and I was so intimidated at first, but it was actually lots of fun! Get yourself a neighbor like Jenna, you get to watch her cute dog and then get thanked with a 5lb bag of coffee and potentially be a judge?
Another shout out goes to Mariyah (@ms_marvey), long time Obsessed client + past local artist at our studio. She crochets the cutest things and we are doing such a cool trade!! For those who know, my boyfriend (aka my housewife) just moved in with me and we got the sickest orange and yellow couch. Mariyah is crocheting us some lily flower pillows and a throw blanket that folds up into a bouquet (like are you kidding me???). We’re both HYPED and I’ll def be updating y’all.
